About ISCV
The Institute of Complex Systems of Valparaíso (ISCV) is a center for research and dissemination of Complex Systems whose objective is the development of cutting-edge knowledge, formulation of new paradigms, and promotion of open scientific discussions among researchers, visitors, and students , as well as its diffusion both in the productive sector and the general public.
The ISCV is a private non-profit corporation, founded in 2004, inclusive and welcoming, which makes its infrastructure available to the community, in a scientific environment that promotes cooperation and interaction among its participants. The above, in a space with a privileged panoramic view of the bay and the hills of the port city of Valparaíso, whose historic center was declared a World Heritage site by Unesco in 2003.
Arriving
From Viña del Mar take micro (bus) 216 or 602 and get off at the intersection of Avenida Playa Ancha with Gran Bretaña street and get off at Subida Artillería towards Paseo 21 de Mayo.
From Valparaíso, take the colectivo 3 rojo (Pacífico, Sanatorio, San Roque) that goes down 12 de Febrero street and runs along Blanco street, ask to be left at the Naval Museum’s vehicular exit. You can also take a micro (bus) 510 that also goes by Blanco street that will leave you at the intersection of Avenida Playa Ancha and Gran Bretaña street and you must walk down Subida Artillería towards Paseo 21 de Mayo.
The entrance to the Institute is on foot through the vehicular exit of the Naval Museum, where you will find a marine guard, and immediately on your left you will see the mansion that houses the ISCV center.
