It has applications in physics,<br \/>\ngeophysics, medical imaging, non-destructive evaluation of materials.<br \/>\nRadar and sonar are examples of inverse scattering methods that are<br \/>\nused routinely nowadays. In this case we consider the inverse problem<br \/>\nof determining the nonlinearity for\u00a0 critical semilinear wave<br \/>\nequations. This is joint work with A, Sa Barreto and Y.
